Hanmer Springs Fairy Walk

Hanmer Springs Fairy Walk is for everyone, young and old.​

Our Star rating is 4 ½ out of 5 (from Hanmer Apartments).

Estimated time is 10 to 20 minutes only return loop, even for very young.

Distance is 1 km return.

Terrain is flat all the way, stroller accessible.

Fitness required is easy or novice (everyone including young kids can do this).

Sensible walking shoes required, suitable for prams & buggies.
Fairy Walk Hanmer Springs

​Features:
Wonderful fairy houses dotted along an easy track to amaze & amuse young & old.
Infants will want to get out of the stroller to open the fairy doors.
Carry a little treasure to leave behind for other children to discover after you leave?
You may even find some painted rocks to re-hide along the track for others.
Perfect for all ages from 1 to 95 years old.
Can link up to Forest Amble Walk if kids can go for an hour return.

​How to get there:
Head along Bath Street & at the end go down into Brooke Dawson Park. Park near the bridge. Cross the bridge & take the track leading right. Return is via the same track once you reach the next bridge. (Total is 1 minutes’ drive from the thermal pools).



​Additional activities to do in Brooke Dawson Park:
Build a dam or bridge in Dog Stream. Swim in Dog Stream (hot summer day to cool off). Have a picnic on the picnic tables or grass. Bike the nearby Pump track (signposted). Backyard cricket or frisbee golf.
Safety:
This walk is so easy that if you run into fowl weather, you will still finish quickly & safely back to your car.
