Hanmer Springs Sculpture Walk

Estimated time is ½ hour only return loop, even for very young or very old.

Distance is 1.5 km return, bikes not allowed.

Terrain is flat all the way.

Fitness required is easy or novice (everyone including young kids can do this).

Sensible walking shoes required, suitable for prams & buggies.
Hanmer Springs Forest Amble

Features:

Brilliant art / animal sculptures surprise you during an easy walk through the Hanmer Heritage Forest (pictures giveaway what you will discover).
Perfect for all ages from 3 to 93 years old.
Exotic plantings from 1904 to 1935 featuring European Larch & Nordic Spruce as well as natives.
Can link up to Fairy Walk via Dog Stream Reserve.

​How to get there:

From Hanmer Springs travel northeast along Jollies Pass Road for 1.4km until you have crossed the bridge & driven up the small incline. You will see a carpark on the left & a statute of a dog on the right, together with a sign "Hanmer Heritage Forest". (Total is 2 minutes’ drive from the thermal pools).
Address in 100 Jollies Pass Road.
Safety:
This walk is so easy that if you run into fowl weather, you will still finish quickly & safely back to your car.
